I know I suck at posting however….

There is a reason I’m not on this as much but mostly cause I’m either at school or home. Well here’s the 411 so far, I’m finishing up my freshmen year in Film School this quarter (ends in 2 weeks!) Then I’m off to be a sophmore. I’ve been involved in 4 film projects in the mean time. The first one I went from production assistant to Director of Photograpy, apparently I good with the camera! Then I helped with a script supervisor, there the ones who make sure what is visually being seen matches the script. They are also the ones who log good takes and bad takes for the editor. I’m more drawn to the creative side which is camera work but I want to learn all I can. Here are a few pics of what I’ve been doing…(oh, by the way the guy I’m talking to is my brother, Jerel, and not my boyfriend! He’s also a film student. This is short film we’re working on called “The Rabbit” a senior’s final project (A Rebecca Dodge Film, hey, I’m on this crew, so of course I’m going to promote it!)  and I’ve added an editing video assignement at the end of this.

  Jerel’s the grip on set.

All of our extras for the film,
and let me tell you, it is true about
what they say working with children
and animals! The “adults” are
the film crem.

Chest Nuts Roasting over an OPEN FIRE!!!

Sorry, I’ve been in the middle of finals but I’m updated this now…So where was I, ahhh, yes, the SWAT team. Well after my encounter with them I figure it wouldn’t be to long before another incident happens. December 28, 2007 - I woke up to the word “FIRE!!!! FIRE!!!” There was a fire in an apartment 2 doors down from us. I jumped up thru on my flip flops, a sweatshirt and grab my purse. I notice my IPOD on the dresser but had a thought in the back of my head “if you pick it up, you’ll die”. Fine, we all ran out and sure enough there were flames about 15 feet high and smoke.
This was from my phone. Luckily everyone got out okay and no one was hurt. The apartment and the one above was completely burnt up. We had to leave for most in the day with our pj’s but we were the only apartment able to get back in the building. Thank heaven…I didn’t grab my IPOD.

What does S.W.A.T. stand for….

Let’s blame Mom!  My mom lived in the apartments we live in now over 7 years ago so she decided to move here again…enter RAE! Now for those of you that know me, I seem to have some kind of trouble lurking behind the corner. On my second day here (which was Oct. 23, I think) my brother, Jerel wakes me up and looks at me all serious,
“What?” I ask. “Don’t you know what’s going on?” Um, hello, I just woke up and
unlike anyone else I know my dreams are not pre-quels. “What’s going on?”
I look at side our patio and there are cops, and SWAT team members walking around. They look at me and say “Please stay in your apartment.” What tha’? Jerel has the news on. Some guy decided to beat up his girlfriend, and was held up in his apartment refusing to come out. DID I MENTION I LIVE LIFE DANERGOUSLY?! So the SWAT team had surrounded the place, for about 3 hours my brother and I sat in the living room waiting to here gun shots. I guess the dude in his apartment had a hostage and didn’t want to come out. That’s when SWAT decided enough is enough and BLEW UP THE APARTMENT!!!! Just kidding, I wish that would have been cool but no. They threw gas bombs in the apartment and then charged in arresting the man.  WELCOME TO ARIZONA, RAE!
